Ukraine State Aviation Museum

Happily visited twice both at 2013 and 2015. It was especially a great pleasure taking photos of Tu-22 series. I believe that massive Tu-22 is an extraordinary flying object.

This museum houses one of the world's biggest displays of aviation technology and operated by Ukraine's National Aviation University.

As a NATO member country citizen I am mostly familiar with western aircrafts. Therefore seeing such birds like Tu-142, Su-15, Su-17, Su-24, Su-25, Mig Series including Mig-25 and many others is incredible.

The museum is located near Zhuliany Intl. Airport. This airport is the oldest one in Kyiv, mainly used to serve to former Soviet domestics but recently grown after several expands and new terminal; though Kyiv gate to outside is mainly Borspil Intl. Airport.

How I reached there? Though there is a bus option (Konechnaya #220) I’ve prefered taxi. It costs less than 15$ from ciry center and what is more the driver waited for me at least 3 hours outside of the museum. What can I expect more.!

Though it was -15 Cel. and snowy, the museum is opened at time. It was a luck that we get acquainted with the museum manager. He told a lot about the museum. He also showed us an unopened section of the museum, too. This section commonly houses many jet engines and a table which consists of serials of Tu-22s.
